Welcome to your October edition of Thinklocal!
As the nights draw in and the festive season fast approaches—from Halloween and Bonfire Night to Christmas—it is truly the perfect time of year to get cosy with a cuppa and enjoy a good read.
While we may in the future feature a more streamlined What’s On section, this month we are bringing you the full version packed with fantastic local activities! You can always look at our website for full details and extra event listings. If you run a local charity, club, or community group in the St Neots area, please get in touch to share your upcoming news as it is entirely free to feature. Activities further afield will carry a small fee. Check out pages 32–37 to start planning your October calendar!
We also have some wonderful community events to highlight this October. The Rotary Club of St Neots is hosting a Charity Concert on 31st October in aid of MAGPAS, Dementia UK, and Home Start UK. You can find out how to secure your tickets by viewing their advertisement on page 8. Eaton Arts Group will host their Exhibition and sale on Saturday 28th November – one for your diary.
Between the school half-term and Halloween both falling this month, there is plenty to keep the children entertained. St Neots Town Council is hosting a brilliant free event from 24th October to 1st November: Dr Patch-It’s Monster Repair Shop. All you have to do is find the 12 monster body parts hidden around town! Flip to page 30 for more details on how to join the fun.
I would also like to extend a warm welcome to the new businesses joining Thinklocal this month. The Caring Lady is now offering personal care, companionship, social visits, and home help. For your property needs, LCA Maintenance Services is offering a special discount on plumbing, heating, and air-conditioning services, while Michael Graham is promoting an exclusive new property development in Covington.
