East Anglian Air Ambulance continues fundraising push for new Cambridge Air Base.

East Anglian Air Ambulance has raised £2.6 million towards its £8.2 million Cambridge Air Base Appeal, thanks to the generosity of supporters across the region – but still has a long way to go to reach its fundraising target.

The charity is urgently trying to fund the creation of a new air base near Fulbourn, Cambridgeshire to replace its current home at Cambridge Airport, which is due to close before the end of the decade.

The new facility is essential to ensure East Anglian Air Ambulance can continue delivering its 24/7 lifesaving critical care service across Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk for decades to come.

The charity’s distinctive yellow helicopters are a familiar sight across the region. Whether responding to serious road collisions, cardiac arrests, or medical emergencies at home or in the workplace, the charity’s specialist doctors and critical care paramedics bring hospital-level treatment directly to patients when every second matters.
