Happy Birthday to us!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW 9 years old!! How has that happened? Well, I think Lorraine and I are a great team, we are do-ers, we want to produce something that readers enjoy, and we want to keep everything local! We have great supporters in the local area and all together that formula has completely worked for us, and we continue to grow.

Way back in February 2014 we had an idea, we worked out if we could do it and decided to take the plunge, talking to local organisations, businesses and charities, we knew what we wanted to achieve and also knew there wasn’t a magazine around like we wanted. 3 weeks later and our first edition was going through local residents’ doors – our April 2014 edition was complete!!

It was exciting, it was hard work, but it was worth it – there have been ups and downs, there has been Covid, but fast forward to April 2023 and we are producing bigger magazines each and every month, giving our readers more information on what is local to them.

We couldn’t do it without people around us, local businesses supporting us, clubs, groups and organisations that supply content, our designer, White Rocket Design, our print company, XL Press, and our wonderful delivery agents who tirelessly get our magazines through your doors each month. Plus, everyone that supports, likes and shares our posts on Facebook.

What’s next? Who knows? We are enjoying our journey, talking to so many more local people and love knowing everything that is happening in our area. We do know we want more residents to enjoy our magazine and will be trying to get through more people’s doors in the months to come.
