ISSUE 150 – SEPTEMBER 2026
Welcome to your 150th edition of Thinklocal Magazine, that’s 150 months and 12 and a half years of sharing local information and businesses to local people! I’m very pleased with that milestone.
Wow, what a summer we have had! With heatwaves and droughts, it is certainly one that will be remembered for years to come!
Your 150th edition is packed with news stories, local businesses and organisations promoting themselves. So, put your feet up, grab a cuppa and enjoy a read through!
There are still lots of fantastic local events happening throughout September. The Autumn Flower & Vegetable Show, with music on the field, takes place on Saturday 12th September at the QEII Playing Field, Little Paxton, read more about it on page 29. The Great Paxton Scarecrow Festival is happening on Saturday 19th September – turn to page 14 for more information. The annual Bedfordshire Steam & Country Fayre at Old Warden Park takes place over the weekend of 18th–20th September, with everything you need to know on page 39. On Saturday 26th September, the Village Adventure Day will be taking place in Little Paxton from 10.00am–4.00pm, see page 29 for details, St Neots Players are performing The Revlon Girl on 17th – 19th September, grab your tickets and read more on page 30-31, PLUS there is so much more to discover throughout the magazine and in our What’s On section.
Take a read of the history of The Shop At Forty on page 10, who have recently moved into their new premises just on the outskirts of St Neots. Another great read is The Home Sorter’s article, all about organising your home, on page 50. September is a great time to have a good sort out, declutter and perhaps even go out and purchase something new for your home.
We have some new local businesses advertising with us for the first time, including Harvey & Co on page 5 and Tim’s Handyman Services on page 5. Please do support these businesses, along with all the other local companies advertising within the magazine. Without their continued support of Thinklocal, there simply would be no magazine.
