Hail Weston Gardening Group – Hanging Basket Demonstration

7.30pm, Hail Weston Village Hall. Diane Jarvis will give us a hanging basket demonstration (with baskets for sale). Diane is a good practical gardener and has run her own gardening business for the last 20 years. Raffle £1.00 per ticket prizes include a £20.00 garden voucher. Tea/Coffee/Wine/biscuits available for a donation. Membership is £7.00 per year and each talk is then £1.00 for members or £3.00 for visitors.

Little Paxton Gardening Group – Michael J Brown Death in the Garden

Michael has an MA in garden history. He has been a head gardener, college lecturer and created the medieval gardens at Prebenal Manor, Nessington. Tonight, he will enlighten us as to how, over the centuries, poisonous plants have had many uses from pest control, to foretelling the future or even the removal of an unwanted partner or rival! St Neots Local History Society – The History of Ramsey Abbey, 969AD to 1539AD- Clive Beeke

Ramsey, as a market town, grew up around the Abbey which had been founded on an island in the marshes in 969 AD. Clive, a local historian, will outline the Abbey’s history until the dissolution of the monasteries under Henry V111. Please note different venue Eaton Centre, Eaton Socon. 7.30pm.
