ISSUE 143 – FEBRUARY 2026

WWe are still in the throws of winter but there are lots of wonderful articles for you to read in this month’s edition to brighten your day. Paxton Pits talk about all the wildlife that is still down at the nature reserve, see page 56 to find out if ‘Winter is really over’! The Wildlife Trust for Beds, Cambs & Northants discusses the emergence of the amphibians as well at Paxton Pits, see their article on page 12 and maybe join the trust with the Thinklocal offer on page 13.
There are fixtures from Eynesbury Rovers Football Club on page 54 and St Neots Town Football Club on page 40.
All of the wonderful Think series are throughout the magazine including Think Home, Think Travel, Think History and Think Wellbeing, all written by local people. If you are a sports club and would like an article on the Think Sport page, then please do get in contact with me.
I hope you like the poster that has been designed by the current Mayday Queen on page 27, promoting this year’s May Day event. There has certainly been a lot of time put into the poster and it so nice for me to be able to include in this month’s magazine.
MAGPAS had their busiest year on record in 2025, the charity needs your help, see page 20 to find out how you can contribute.
There is a fantastic competition for you to enter. The Musical Theatre Company are offering 2 x tickets to see Bonnie & Clyde at The Richie Hall, Longsands School, St Neots from 19th – 22nd February. See page 14 for details of how you can enter!.
