We are a friendly group of women that meet Every Sunday morning.  We meet outside the Ambiance Cafe on the Riverside carpark at 10.45 to walk at 11.00.  We then return to the Ambiance Cafe for refreshments and further chatting. Women supporting Women.

7.30pm at Eynesbury C of E Primary School – PE19 2TD. Did the Danish Vikings visit Tempsford in the 1000’s? This talk examines evidence from the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle written AD 890 – 1066 and evidence from local archaeological excavations. The U3A monthly meeting – Lucy Allen – Suffragette & The Petticoat Rebellion

In 1978 Lucy was involved in the National Youth Theatre production of ‘The Petticoat Rebellion’ at the Roundhouse Downstairs and this educated her about the struggle of women to get the vote.  In 2015 she was cast as a ‘Stunt Suffragette’ for the Sarah Gavron film ‘Suffragette’ staring Carey Mulligan. This talk is about both these experiences and the history of the Suffragettes.  The Eatons Centre Eaton Socon, from 2 to 4pm and is free to attend and open to members and non-members. There is a guest speaker, free refreshments and a quiz at the end. Information can be found about joining the association and the various interest groups that we have.
