We are a friendly group of women that meet Every Sunday morning.  We meet outside the Ambiance Cafe on the Riverside carpark at 10.45 to walk at 11.00.  We then return to the Ambiance Cafe for refreshments and further chatting. Women supporting Women.

Paxton Pits Nature Reserve Guided Walks – Tree Identification

The walk will begin at 10am at the Visitor Centre and will, last approximately 2 hours. Cost is £3 for members and £5 for non-members. Come along and enjoy the benefits of being out in nature and appreciate the amazing variety habitats and wildlife Paxton Pits Nature Reserve has to offer.

Mike Johnson will talk on how he built a garden for ‘Hampton Court Garden Show.’ 7.30pm, Village Hall. RAF Photographic Reconnaissance

St Neots Library 10.30am. There can be no doubt that photographic reconnaissance was a key contributor to the overall intelligence picture throughout the Second World War which greatly contributed in securing the Allied victory. The old saying that a picture is worth a thousand words was never more truly demonstrated.  Hear James Blackwood from RAF Wyton talk about how photo reconnaissance evolved from its beginnings in WWI, throughout WWII and beyond. Paxton Pits Nature Reserve Bird Ringing Demo

9.30am – 2.00pm WEATHER DEPENDENT (Ringing can only take place if the weather is dry and still) The demo will take place outside along the yard, along the Heron trail. Come along and see what is involved, why the data is collected, see the beautiful birds up close. Free event, however, donations are welcome.

Woven Wool Flowers – St Neots Library

10am. A fun workshop for children aged 6 – 11.  Learn to weave a simple flower design with wool/ yarn. Children will have the freedom to choose colours and experiment with different woven patterns.  Once they are happy with their flowers, they can then add a stem, made from natural sticks and twigs and paper leaves.   All materials will be provided. £2 per child.
