Local Author Publishes New Childrens Book.

My little girl and I spent every single week going back and forth to the Riverside Park when she was little where she was so determined to master the monkey bars there. Each week she would get a little further but just would not give up until one day she cracked it!

A few years later she was asked by her school to write a story about being inspired and so I helped her create what was actually the very first draft of ‘Little Girl, Big Challenge!’ Her story was all her own words but I helped a little with the structure. A year or 2 later I found this draft and asked for my girls permission to make it into my next published children’s book. She reminds me daily that the idea came from her! And I remind her that all my inspiration comes from my children. My son and daughter picked all the creatures that the hero of the story, little Audrey, comes across and so this really was a family project.

We added very magical rainbow monkey bars that I really hope one day the local council will make a real feature of the Riverside Park! They look so good. We love that park and we really hope our book will show all the little boys and girls that anything is possible, if they just dare to believe in themselves…
