ISSUE 99 – JUNE 2022

Welcome to our celebratory June edition of Thinklocal magazine and a huge congratulations to HM Queen Elizabeth II on her Platinum Jubilee. 70 years of dedicatied service – whether you are a royalist or not you cannot dispute her dedication.
In this month’s edition we have lots going on for our extended bank holiday weekend from 2nd – 5th June with some amazing local events to attend over this weekend. On Thursday 2nd June St Neots Town Council will be holding a Beacon Lighting for the Platinum Jubilee and on Saturday 4th June there is a Picnic in the Park, both these events are on the Regatta Meadow. Check out lots more local events in our What’s on section.
We hope you enjoyed our Summer Food and Drink Guide in last month’s edition. St Neots is absolutely full of Food & Drink and this really is what the town does best – we have such an array of places to go and socialise. From doing this Thinklocal donated £50 of food – 33KG – to St Neots Foodbank which they were very grateful for. If you would like more information on our local food bank then check out their website: www.stneots.foodbank.org.uk

On top of all the June events there is also Father’s Day on Sunday 19th June, for those of you that want to why not treat your Dad, go and see him and spend some time talking and listening to his stories. For some of us that is not possible for various reasons, if you want to take some time out of your day to remembering him and those special memories.
With Covid almost in the background of our lives now, normality feels like it is at last here. With the summer months ahead, it is certainly a time to get our locally and enjoy everything we have to offer locally.
